Someone wrote:

As a sign of their apostasy, the LDS church will  excommunicate me, a Christlike man. By so doing, they will seal the fate of my stake upon themselves. When  the church becomes like the Nehors, and the Zoramites, and casts Christ-like men out of their congregations, then God is justified in the punishments that must shortly come to pass upon the LDS church. So I wait.  It is not my place to raise my heel against the Lord's annointed. It is not even my place to shy away from being stomped on by the Lord's annointed. It is my place to testify against unrighteous dominion, and to act as a conduit that the word of the Lord may condemn the leaders who will contribute to my excommunication.

Jesus was punished by the leaders of the church in his day. Abinidi was punished by the leaders of his church. Alma was condemned to death by his priesthood leaders. Samuel the Lamanite was attacked for telling the church they were in apostasy.

In like manner, I testify of the wickedness within the church, and will be punished for my testimony. I have saw it in vision, and have no fear of it, for those who will punish me act without authority from God to punish me. For when they undertook to cover their sins, and to gratify their pride and their vain ambition, and to excercize control, dominion, and compulsion upon me, the heavens withdrew, and their authority was gone.

Truly, the destruction to come upon this nation prior to the second coming will start with those who have claimed to know Christ, but have not. It will come as prophecied upon those who have worked wickedness in the Holy of Holies. (Who other than the leadership of the LDS church has access to the holy of holies? Certainly not the infidels, nor the gentiles, nor the general membership of the church.)
