belief/i-claim.htm

I claim the privilege of worshiping God according to the dictates of my own conscience, and accept the responsibility of freely permitting all humankind to do likewise, so long as they do not physically harm me or my family.

I claim that no person or organization has a full knowledge of truth and accept the responsibility to learn wisdom where it may be found.

I claim that one way to discern good from evil is to gauge whether an act brings harm to myself or others, and accept the responsibility to choose the betterment of myself and humanity.

I claim that activities which harm only myself are not sinful or criminal and accept the responsibility of changing undesirable behaviors for the better.

I claim that using any sort of intimidation or threat against someone because of their beliefs is sinful in the highest degree, and I accept the responsibility of accommodating others beliefs.

I claim that consensual activities among or between adults are not criminal, and accept the duty to protect peoples privacy and rights. If an adult wants to do drugs, or have gay sex, or be a polygamist, or paint their house with green polka-dots on orange, or not cut their lawn, so let it be. At the same time, I claim that activities which bring physical harm to others should not be tolerated. For example; theft, driving while under the negative influence of drugs, rape, poisoning of water, molesting children, etc.

I claim that the family is the highest level of priesthood authority, and accept the full responsibility to take my proper place in the family.

I claim that destroying a family is the greatest sin that can be committed against humanity, and I call on all people everywhere to protect the unity of their own family and that of others.

I claim that extorting tithing, donations, or taxes through threats of hell, or intimidation of jail time is wrong, and accept the responsibility of not intimidating others in regards to money.

I claim that forced participation in mandatory social welfare programs is wrong, and accept the responsibility of voluntarily caring for myself, my family, and my community without governmental intervention.
