>what do you believe about the priesthood question?
I haven't yet formed an opinion on this matter by revelation.
As far as I am concerned, a man is not punished because of his father's sins, except to the degree that the man adopts the sins of his fathers. So while I carry the sins of my parents upon me, it is because I have learned, and lived those sins, and failed to repent, even if in some cases I sin in ignorance.
I am not confident that there is any legitimate priesthood left, so it seems somewhat irrelevant to me to ponder about when any particular person or group might receive the priesthood, especially considering that the faith of a supposedly priesthood-less mother, is often a more powerful force in the world than the administrations of a whole quorum of high priests.
I am content to admit that Brigham Young made the same sort of comprimizes on doctrinal issues that we see happening in the church today.
When I express ideas like this, even the Fundamentalists call me apostate!! Oh well.
