Gold Plates in a Cave

I have always liked reading the Book of Mormon. It fills me with a tingling sense of wonder and awe. What an exciting and moving piece of writing. When the book was originally translated, about 2/3 of the book was sealed by a gold band, and Joseph Smith was commanded not to translate that portion of the book. The Book of Mormon explains why, stating that the remaining 2/3 of the book is reserved for some future time when it will be given to those who believe the first part.

The night I was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood, I dreamed that there was a mountain full of caves and holes, and that inside one of the caves was a set of golden plates on which was inscribed a copy of some writings from the sealed part of the Book of Mormon. The dream repeated itself three times during the night, and I viewed it at the time as a sign from God that the keys of the priesthood are still with the church. The dream had a powerful impact on me, and has stayed crisp and sharp in my memory even to this day.
