In the spring of 1997, my brother Chad decided to get married, so we got in the car and drove out to the wedding, never suspecting that it would change our lives so dramatically. A wedding is just a wedding after all, but the Lord had other plans in mind, and arranged things accordingly.
The first circumstance that the Lord brought into play, was increasing the Interstate Freeway speed limit. When going to Utah, we leave as soon as I get off work, and drive day and night until we get there, arriving after dark on the second day. This trip, because of the increased speed limit, we approached Utah while it was still light. The second circumstance that the Lord arranged was for a blowing snow storm along the northern route we usually take, so we dropped down to the southern route through Echo Canyon, figuring that the road would be safer than going through Logan Canyon. So the Lord had arranged for us to be in Echo Canyon while it was still light enough to see.
