AND it came to pass that in the commencement of the restoration of all things that God did raise up many righteous and just men who had been foreordained to bring about this great work.
And he did cause that a book should be translated as a witness of his work, even the book which was compiled by an ancient prophet whose name is Mormon.
And it was this prophet's son, Moroni, who delivered this record unto Joseph Smith, the translator.
This is a most sacred record, notwithstanding the fact that it has been altered somewhat by man, for it contains God's dealings with his children and shows the love that He has for all mankind.
Now this record was the basis for restoring the complete gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth.
And had the people of Joseph's day been willing and shown themselves worthy, they would have received the complete record, even that portion which had been sealed.
But they would not allow God to give them the complete higher Order of the Gospel, for they were not willing to live those principles and thus, the Lord gave them the lesser law as He had done with the children in Moses' day.
And thus, we see that God is only willing to give unto man that portion of His gospel that man is willing to live up to.
Now when this gospel was restored, an order was set up which in most ways resembled that order which God had established in the Meridian of Time.
And all these things were wisdom in God for He did see that only a small number of souls were willing to live all that He commanded them.
And because of this, He has always established a system whereby man can continue to learn and grow and become perfected by overcoming those things that take him away from God.
By the establishment of this latter day church, man was once again given the opportunity to learn God's laws and His Ways and to come unto Him and commune with God one on one and to see Him face to face.
Now with the establishment of this organization, God would not take away from man his free agency, for this is the basic principle upon which all others rest.
Because of the free will of man, the purity and correctness of the original plan began to become polluted even as it has been done in all ages, or whenever God has set His hand to redeem His people.
For the love and power and the things of the world, men began to lose their connection with God and to freely take advantage of their position in the church God had established.
And thus by degrees, did men within this organization begin to withdraw from the light which had been given them and rather than having God walk and talk with them, they were left unto working out their gospel understanding by inspiration which at times would come from both the light and dark side of the veil.
Now in this position did the church continue to grow because of the testimony of Mormon's book and the truth which it contained.
And it was not difficult for a person being spiritual to gain a testimony of the truth of the book, for God had promised that all who would ask Him in faith, believing that He would show them the truth of it, would get an answer of its divine nature.
Because of this, the church did grow exceedingly until near the end of the 20th century there were millions who had joined themselves unto it.
And many people did grow spiritually and improve their lives by joining with the church God had established.
This they did do that they might live as God would have them live and keep His commandments in all things.
And now I shall show unto you that for the most part, this work and desire was good, but in one part did the people error, for they did begin to look and feel that it was more important to follow a leader than it was to follow God and through this method did Satan lead them into a false sense of security and they began to trust in the arm of flesh more than in the Lord their God.
And the leaders, yea even those men who had succeeded the original founders did begin to do evil before God.
And there were none who would speak in the name of the Lord and say, "Thus saith the Lord."
In this state did revelation ceased and the direct connection to God did end.
And because they wanted the things of the world more than to please God, they did begin to align themselves with the world and to hold themselves up and desire the praise of the world.
And they did tie themselves to Babylon and did make exceeding fine churches and did spend the money of their membership on those things which could make the church look good before the world.
And the poor and the widow and the orphan they did neglect and seek to ignore, for they claimed that these were not as righteous as they or they would have been blessed as those who prospered in the church.
All these things did come upon the church in the space of 160 years.
Now I would not that you should think that all is lost or that this thing which had come upon the church did not have some good come from it. For did God not say that there must needs be opposition in all things and did He not promise that He would always answer those that seek Him in all humility ad meekness, always giving unto man that portion of His spirit which man is willing to live.
Now I shall try to explain unto you what began to happen among this people as they neared the time of the Second Coming of the Lord. For notwithstanding the evil that had begun to flourish in the church, there were some whom God did begin to stir in their hearts and they did desire to live all the holy laws of God.
And these men and women knew not that they had been foreordained to do this work before the world was created.
But God did begin a work that could not be stopped for all heaven was behind it.
And this work was not like any that had been set forth upon the earth for it was the beginning of that way of life which should proceed through the millennium.
And to those that began to see it unfold, it was more joyous that words can describe.
For at this time did angels begin to minister unto the meek and submissive sons and daughters of God.
And these were they who had the love of God in their heart and were desirous to do whatsoever thing He should direct them.
These were and are a people who desired to hold all things in common and to live that eternal order which took Enoch and his city into heaven.
And in the beginning there were few in the church that realized that this great and marvelous thing was taking place, for they did feel that if God was to do anything on earth, that it had to be through them, and that all truth was held within their organization.
Now when the humble followers of God began to tell of those spiritual experiences they had received and witnessed, they began to be persecuted by those that belonged to the church.
And many were cast out from the church but they continued to love God and even love those that persecuted them.
And so great was their love of Jesus Christ that many could not be held within the veil and they did see and witness those things which God had always given to those that love Him.
Now this people of which I speak began to grow in numbers and they did feel a bond to others who had also committed themselves to love God at all costs.
And in a most rapid manner did God begin to separate those of the pure heart from those that loved the things of the world.
All this took place in the space of a few short years. Notwithstanding, the persecution from the church God had established did continue to increase, even to a point where those that belonged to the church were afraid to speak freely or openly on certain subjects lest they would come under the persecution hand of the leaders.
But I shall show unto you that no unhallowed hand can stop the work of God. For He will always pour down knowledge and understanding upon the heads of those who will commit themselves to do His work and live His statutes.
Now these of this group of whom I have spoken were given power from God to confound the wise and the learned.
And there were none of the church who would dare to speak openly with those that were being persecuted lest they should be embarrassed before those who held them in great esteem.
For they knew that the power of God was with this group, but they were so steeped in the traditions of their fathers and the love of money had so cankered their souls that they could not let go of the things of the world. And they did desire the praise of men above the praise of God.
And thus in this ripened state did God begin to reveal to man many new truths which in fact were not new but were as ancient as God.
They were only new to this small group because God had withheld the truths so that they might come forth to a people who would believe them and hold them sacred.
For they did feel it more important to develop the attributes of Godliness than anything the world could offer them.
And among this group there was no appointed leader. Only the Lord and His Father were to guide and lead this movement. For they were taught from on high that whenever man placed himself above another, he was doing that which was against the highest law and order of God.
And thus as members of the latter day church would come and seek to align themselves with the true order of God, they would find that each person would go to God direct and get his instructions from the same Source and thus they would match up with one another; and in this manner confusion was eliminated from among them.
And so in tune with God's spirit did they become that they were shown the needs of one another before they would speak to each other in the flesh and in this manner did they administer to the needs of each individual.
Notwithstanding the great turmoil that was taking place upon the earth, because of the understanding of God's ways and their great love for all, this people did rejoice in all that took place and did see all things as being for the vest good of each individual's path to God.
I shall now attempt to share with you those truths which God did teach the people at this time, that their understanding might be more closely aligned with the true and higher laws of God.
It is the purpose of this writing to help the reader learn what the Gods did in their probationary state to help them become the great and marvelous beings that they are.
And now I ask among you is their any whom having a son or a daughter would not want them to become like or even better than the parents is?
Even so your Father in Heaven wants you to become as He is and will provide every opportunity for an individual to accomplish this goal.
For when you stand before your Maker at that last day, you shall be completely left without excuse if you have not taken every opportunity to advance yourself in your probationary state.
And at that day do you think you will be able to live and commune with God if you have not lived and communed with Him already?
Behold, I say unto you, nay. For that same spirit which doth possess you now will possess you then, and now, yea, now is the time for you to prepare to meet God. To prepare and meet God in the flesh.
For if you do not know Him now, how do you think you will know Him then?
Oh man, listen to these words for they are true and faithful and all that is in them shall be fulfilled and you shall be held accountable at the judgment bar of Christ for how sacred you keep them.
And you shall also be held accountable for how you have made them manifest in your life.
Therefore I say unto you, if you have not learned to hear the voice of the Spirit or the voice of the Lord or the voice of your Father in Heaven, then read these words and learn the ways of truth before God.
For I shall show unto you that all understanding is divided into three main levels' one being Telestial, one being Terrestrial, and one being Celestial.
Now most have wrongly thought that those realms were off in some distant place and that if a person does good he will some how progress from one place to another until he is in the presence of God the Father in the Celestial realm.
Were this so, how could God dwell among us?
The Celestial realm encompassed the whole of all things as does the Terrestrial, as does the Telestial. Each is of a different refinement and operates on a different vibration level. The lowest of these being the Telestial and the highest, Celestial. 72 Each is administering to the needs of the Celestial, His son even Jesus Christ, being the first born in the spirit, administers to the Terrestrial realm, and the Holy Ghost or testator administers to the Telestial.
A person receives his spiritual guidance from whatever level he has become in tune with through his spiritual development on the earth.
It is the goal of the Fathers to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man by having him pass through each of these three realms, both spiritually and physically, while he is in his probationary state.
Thus, it is the goal of the Son to show you the way to the Fathers and of the Holy Ghost to show you the way to the Son.
This method of showing a person his or her path to the Son is done by continual confirmations of truth to the spirit of an individual by the burning feeling of the Holy Ghost.
If a person will let go of his carnal and natural instincts and let the spirit by his guide, he can be led into all truth. for this is how all of the holy prophets from the beginning of the world learned the characteristics of the Fathers.
Each was sent to earth with a veil placed over the mind and each walked through these three steps progressing themselves to Godhood.
Now this should be the desire of all men, to become like god and become endowed with power from on high, that they can do the things that God does.
Oh, how saddened I am that only a small few find this path, although all have an opportunity to cross it.
Now if a person will lean those characteristics which are in Mormon's book and which have been laid down by al the holy prophets since the world began, that person can obtain a joint heirship with the Son, even Jesus Christ, and will have all that He has.
In this state he can do all that Jesus can do, for he will be like Him in all ways.
Because of this bonding with the Lord, the individual will go and do those things that the Son does and will participate with Him in the creation of new worlds.
And these individuals will be the Gods of the worlds they create or the Fathers of those new earths.
And thus is the prophecy fulfilled which saith, "Whether there be one God or many Gods, they shall be manifest."
For have you not now had revealed unto you that there are many Fathers?
And in fact, these Fathers constitute a quorum which is in members 144,000.
And, God the Father, or Jesus' Father is the spokesman for this group. These individuals working as a united effort are seeking to turn the hearts of their children to the Fathers and have plainly manifest that the hearts of the Fathers are already turned to the children.
Oh, man, has He not promised that to him that seeketh, findeth and to those that ask, He will give liberally and upbraid not.
Each Father desires to have his spiritual offspring find the path that will lead them to His presence. Not in the spirit or as a spirit, but in the flesh; perfecting the spiritual by overcoming the flesh until the flesh cannot be withheld from the presence of the Father.
And what must a person let go of to overcome the flesh and be taken through the veil into the presence of the Holy Ones?
He must loose himself of all earthly things and rely on God for all his sustenance, living his life by every word that procedeth forth from the mouth of God. Taking no thought for the morrow but letting the morrow take care of itself. Putting not his trust in man but putting his trust in God, knowing that God will only lay before him that which would be for his best good.
A person must learn to bring himself above the judging of others. For such who judge only seek to justify their own position and by so doing, what are they expressing to God about how he is dealing with them?
Each person has to learn to let others travel their own path, for god knows what is best for each soul and what life experiences he or she may need in order to progress in the best manner.
Now as I have spoken before concerning the Telestial state and those attributes that bind a person to this realm. Behold this is a state of self love where all that is done is done for the glory and satisfaction of one's own appetites.
These are they who say, "I will help others if it will save me, or I will give money if my name can be placed before others, that they may honor me." Those that inherit this low glory are they whose lives reflect a desire for all that the world has to offer.
Their churches are those that are built up to get gain. They receive little persecution, for their desire is to align themselves with Babylon and prosper in her midst. These are the ones who try to gain exaltation by spurring the horse and pulling back on the reigns at the same time. Their organizations are locked into this level because they have a desire to place one person above another and to give praise and honor unto man instead of unto God.
And now what are the characteristics of those on the Terrestrial level? These are they who love all. These are the ones who so focus their lives that all that they do is for the good of others.
Each person that they meet they seek to uplift and show a better way. They will part with all that they have if it will help another.
Those of this level are translated beings.
In a short time when the earth goes through its cleansing, these are the people who will return to inhabit it. They are the ones who are in Enoch's city and are among the thousands of others who were so righteous that God changed their physical bodies so that they might go to and fro without tasting death.
Their missions are to bless the lives of all. On this level Jesus Christ presides and administers the will of the Fathers.
When He spoke that those who believed on His words would not taste of death, He was referring to the physical death and not the spiritual death. Everlasting life means life now and forever.
When speaking to the man who wanted to first go and bury his brother, Christ was trying to get us to see that if we make death a reality in our lives then we will fulfill that reality. "Let the dead bury the dead," was a message to the living. "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he," was to show how each of us programs our own reality.
What is real to you now and what is real or reality to God are vastly different.
The Fathers see all things, both the physical and the spiritual, as spiritual but on different vibrational levels.
Those who obtain the Terrestrial level or the Christ level have raised their vibratory state to a conscious level of translated beings. Their belief is that they can do the works of the Terrestrial level and by believing, it is made manifest in the physical act. All of this being done that they may bless the lives of others.
Now will regard to the highest or Celestial level. This level or realm is the level upon which the Fathers operate. It is also the level upon which the Son operates, although His responsibility is to the terrestrial level.
That is why He shall preside during the millennial era.
Those who do the works of this level are those that have so learned to listen to the Spirit of God that each and every act of their lives is to do only the will of their Father in Heaven.
Having listened to the Holy Ghost and having been justified in all things, they have gone on to listen to the Son and obey Him in whatsoever thing he should command them.
Then being sanctified by the Lord, they are presented to the Father and they then do the Fathers' will in all things.
This is the level of the gospel of resurrection. These are they who take up the body never to lay it down again. And how glorious and beautiful those of this state are ye know not, or are not able to comprehend until God shall take you to this level and you shall see it for yourself.
Now a warning I give unto the reader of this work. For I have seen your desire to come unto God and to be perfected in Him. And notwithstanding your great desire, I have also seen that many shall profess to want to go unto the Fathers, but their hearts are set on the things of the world and upon the control of others.
Therefore take heed ye who read these words, and be not deceived by those who profess to be of God and are not. For those of evil designs shall profess to be doing the will of God and are not. For those of evil designs shall profess to be doing the will of God and shall seek to spiritually destroy those that truly are.
But I have seen that they shall not prevail, for in the end they shall remove themselves and their lies from among this people for their faith shall not be sufficient to prevent the calamities from destroying them.
Therefore, have patience and love all and continue to encourage all to come unto the light at all levels and all shall be blessed.
Now I say unto you that these things would not have fallen into your hands had not it been the will of your Father in Heaven.
Therefore, ask Him in the name of the Son if these things of which I have spoken are true.
And as Moroni has said, "If ye will ask with a sincere heart, believing that He will manifest the truth of it unto you, so shall it be." Amen.
